Single-area extinguishing control using the Solution F2 fire alarm control panel

“Solution F1” and “Solution F2” Fire Alarm Control Panels with Automatic Electrical Control and Delay Device in Accordance with VdS and EN 12094-1:2003

The “Solution F2” fire alarm control panel, which has been successfully established in the market for several years and is VdS-approved, can now also be used for extinguishing control in a single extinguishing zone.

In addition to its proven features:

  • 1–2 loop circuits, optionally for addressable components from Apollo or Hochiki

  • 230 VAC / 24 VDC power supply with 3.5 A output

  • Operating panel with membrane keypad and graphic display

  • USB and RS-232 interfaces

  • Numerous input/output connections

  • Interfaces for fire department peripherals

  • RS-485 interface card

  • Individual zone display for detector groups

the panel can now be used as a combined fire alarm and extinguishing control panel with integrated electrical control unit in accordance with EN 12094-1.

A newly developed control board provides a wide range of inputs and outputs to support this functionality.

Multi-area extinguishing control using the Solution F1 fire alarm control panel

The same control board used in the single-area extinguishing system “Solution F2” is also employed in the “Solution F1”. For each extinguishing zone, there is a display board with an optional key switch for mandatory displays and any desired control functions.

All of the known enclosure sizes for the BMZ Solution F1 are available. The simple installation into a 19″ rack is facilitated by the 19″ dimensions of the front panels and by available mounting plates for the system boards. If more than 8 extinguishing control cards are required, multiple panels can be networked via ARCNET.

The already proven, VdS-approved fire alarm system “Solution F1” has been expanded to allow for the control of multiple extinguishing zones. A total of 9 modules can be connected to a central unit. These can include, for example, 8 extinguishing control cards and a detector module, or any other combination of detector modules and extinguishing control cards.
